About Aisha Al-Taneem Mosque
Al-Tan’im Mosque—also known as Masjid Aisha—is one of the mosques in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. It is located in the western part of the city, approximately 7 kilometers from the Holy Mosque (Al-Haram Al-Makki), and serves as the *miqat* (the designated site for entering the state of ritual consecration, or *ihram*) for the residents of Makkah intending to perform Umrah. It derives its renown from being built at the very spot where the Mother of the Believers, Aisha bint Abu Bakr, entered into *ihram* for Umrah during the Farewell Pilgrimage in the 9th year of the Hijra.
